Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective Date: 06 February 2026

This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to donations made on the Equitas Gurukul Group of Schools website, managed by Equitas Development Initiatives Trust.

1Nature of Donations

All donations are voluntary contributions made towards supporting our educational and charitable initiatives. Donations are generally non-cancellable and non-refundable once successfully processed.

2Cancellation

A donation cannot be cancelled after the payment is completed and the transaction is marked successful.

If a donor exits or cancels before completing payment, no amount is deducted.

3Refunds (Exceptions)

Refunds may be considered only in the following limited cases:

  • Duplicate payment (donor charged more than once for the same intended donation).
  • Incorrect amount entered by the donor (e.g., extra zero), reported promptly with proof.
  • Technical error where payment is deducted but the donation is not recorded / acknowledged by us.
  • Fraudulent transaction / unauthorized payment, subject to verification and/or notification by the payment gateway / bank.

4Important Note

If the donation has already been allocated / utilized for the intended purpose, we may not be able to process a refund, except where required under applicable law.

5Refund Request Window

Refund requests must be raised within 7 days from the date of the successful transaction (unless mandated otherwise by law or in case of proven fraud or unauthorized payment).

6How Refunds Are Processed

  • Approved refunds will be processed back to the original payment method used during the transaction.
  • Refund processing timelines may vary depending on banks or payment providers and typically take 5–10 working days after approval.
  • Transaction / payment gateway charges (if any) may be non-refundable and could be deducted from the refund amount.

7Information Required for Refund Requests

To raise a refund request, please share:

  • Donor name
  • Transaction ID / Payment reference number
  • Date and amount of donation
  • Registered email / Mobile number used during donation
  • Reason for refund request
  • Screenshot or statement showing the debit (if applicable)

9Payment Gateway

Donations are processed through secure payment gateways such as Razorpay. Refunds, if approved, are subject to gateway / bank processing timelines and rules.
